Knox Consulting! So, why the name, “Knox Consulting”?

One man. He pushed me and didn’t back down. Knox isn’t my maiden name, married name or even stage name. It’s the last name of one man who believed in me; Papa.  

Harry “Papa” Knox, pushed me but never pushed judgment on me. He was my mom’s father, a musician, the life of the party & a force to be reckoned with. Papa rose above all with his vocal & musical talents while struggling with addiction. He showed me through his choices that with hard work & dedication you can do whatever you want to do. He pushed me to stay in college, ingraining in my head that people can do & take a lot from you, but “no one can ever take your education away from you.” 

I’ve been judging for +20 years. I’m an 8th grade teacher, boy mom, Great Dane mom, wife & nature lover! I’ve always strived to educate myself more in dance & cheer which has opened opportunities for me to judge incredible talent across the U.S. & in Japan! Within the last year I received a medical diagnosis that was unexpected & life changing. This change has given me the opportunity to realign my priority of being present as a mama and my relationship with God, leading me to this new & exciting opportunity, Knox Consulting.

Our Great Dane, Willow Jean, has always been by my side, especially over the past year. The leaves of a willow tree represent balance, harmony & growth experienced through storms and life challenges.  The limber flowing branches & leaves promote flexibility and adaptability to adversity. Resiliency.

There’s magic in trees.  Knox Consulting.  Kira Collins.  By chance or luck the initials, “KC” represent the shorthand for Knox Consulting & are my monogram, bringing full circle the interwoven combination of hard work, growth & experience. It’s never by chance, it’s always His plan.
